Legislation on drink-driving :
Drivers who are not on a probationary licence are entitled to a maximum alcohol level of 0.49 grams of alcohol per litre of blood under current French legislation. Disposable breathalysers allow drivers to find out whether they are entitled to drive without indicating the exact level of alcohol in their blood. Only a blood test and a breathalyser can give an accurate reading.
