Tasting notes

The colour is golden yellow with a delicate effervescence. On the nose, aromas of almond paste, white flowers and vineyard peach come through harmoniously. On the palate, this champagne reveals complexity and depth. It is carried by a subtle acidity that structures it throughout the length.

Blending and Maturing

Plot «AB 390» is a charming plot located behind the Domaine Ployez-Jacquemart, in Ludes, a village classified as Premier Cru in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. The oldest Meunier grapes in this vineyard were planted in 1955 by Marce, the founder, and his son Gérard Ployez. The age and perfect ripeness of this parcel have enabled us to offer a great 2018 vintage. To balance the richness, freshness and complexity of this fruity Meunier, the blend of this cuvée is quite special as it is made by two vinifications: 20% of the juice is vinified in oak barrels without the intervention of malolactic fermentation in order to let the finesse, elegance and freshness of the Meunier express itself. The remaining 80% is vini fied in vats with malolactic fermentation to allow the full flavour of the Meunier to shine through.
